ThinkWINTER - From the Mountaineering Scotland Website: For many of us winter is when our mountains come into their own. Dazzling white snow under blue skies, crisp underfoot with views stretching to forever with crystal clarity; the scrape and bite of crampons on ice, the thunk as a well-swung ice-axe embeds itself securely in perfect snow-ice.

TAK IT HAME #TakItHame is the campaign that says what it means: encouraging the mountaineering community, and others, to remove litter and plastic from our hills and rags. You can find out more about it here: https://www.mountaineering.scot/conservation/campaigns/tak-it-hame Please feel SUBSCRIBE, LIKE & SHARE if you enjoyed our little adventure.
Perhaps the finest view of the Cuillin ridge, Sgurr na Stri may be a small hill in comparison to its surroundings, but its location above Loch Coruisk gives it the perfect view of the whole Cuillin ridge. This could well be the most spectacular summit view in Scotland!
Beinn Dearg Mhor - Red Cuillin Hillls, the big red hill in Scots Gaelic. Beinn Dearg Mhor is the middle summit of the group of Red Hills above Sligachan. It's classed as a Graham because of it height bracket and stands at 731m / 2398ft.
A long tough day but really rewarding taking in Braeriach, scrambling up Angels Ridge to Angels Peak. Love the beauty of the extremely rough boulder field in the Chalamain Gap, there's something very strange about that place! Please feel SUBSCRIBE, LIKE & SHARE if you enjoyed our little adventure.

Ben Nevis via the CMD Arête is arguably the most enjoyable non-climber’s route on Ben Nevis and to bivvy on the summit plateau, away from the crowds, was an all-round pretty awesome adventure.

I set off towards the North West Highlands of Scotland to do two nights of wild camping and Landscape Photography. My first night, summit camping on Stac Pollaidh was a total washout. I slept in my bivvy bag and got soaked right through, sleeping bag, roll mat...everything totally saturated with rain.

Ruadh Stac Mor via Coire Mhic Fhearchair. The original plan was to summit them bivvy but the weather had the final say on that. An utterly spectacular adventure all the same. The moment you walk into Coire Mhic Fhearchair be prepared to have your mind blown, one of the finest corries in Scotland.
Beinn Alligin one of the classic mountains of the Torridon region of Scotland, lying to the north of Loch Torridon, in the Highlands. The name Beinn Alligin is from the Scottish Gaelic, meaning Jewelled Hill. We arrived in Torridon early and made our way to Diabeig.
A trip to Glencoe for a days winter climbing and a night in the new Kingshouse Hotel. Overshadowed by her marginally higher neighbour, Bidean nam Bian, to which she is connected by means of a col just a few meters too high to give her Munro status, Stob Coire nan Lochan is most.
Ben Starav is a Scottish mountain in the Highlands lying south of Glen Etive that rises to its full 1,078-metre height above Loch Etive at its western foot. With Mrs OTATScotland away i took the chance to get in a QMD.
A Cairngorm Classic - Trekking the trails and Wild Camping|October 2018, On the Adventure Trials Scotland An adventure to the magnificent Cairngorm National Park. Starting that the Ski centre and heading up to Cairn Gorm then a classic circuit of the Loch Avon, Loch Etchachan where we camped.
Based on a conversation with Ian Almond. An honest, understated story about obsession, identity and self reflection filmed in the stunning Torridon landscape. Parental advisory! * Please note that just a couple of naughty words slip out during this film * Dom Bush discusses the film here: alpkit.com/screen-room/the-ant-and-the-whale

Scottish Rock & Water - Filming and editing by Crossdeck Productions

With days like these, it's easy to see why Scotland was voted the most beautiful country in the world! The blog from the day can be found here: https://www.scottishrockandwater.com/blog/sun-kissed-winter-traverse-of-liathach

The Ring of Steall is a real classic mountain route combining the traverse of four Munros with scrambling along narrow, rocky aretes. The route takes in An Gearanach, Stob Choire a Chairn, Am Bodach and then follows the Devils Ridge to Sgurr a'Mhaim. The weather however managed to change our plans slightly.

Explore and Adventure will find you!

Buachaille Etive Mor - Reset Button, Adventure Nov 2017 | On the Adventure Trials Scotland

The demands of life and work often place intense pressures on us. When I get home, this is how I find my RESET Button... How I Hit the Reset Button on Life. I’m sure every outdoor enthusiast with an ounce of adventurous spirit will identify with my thoughts !

Buachaille Etive Mor is one of the best known and loved of all the Munro peaks. The epic view of the mountain from the main A82 road makes it appear quite unassailable and is one of the most photographed sights in Scotland.

Corrour Station - Ben Alder Bothy, June 2017 | On the Adventure Trails - Scotland

Fastpacking around Ben Alders local Munros. Approx. 29 miles and 6000 feet of ascent, a night at Ben Alder Cottage Bothy, the spooks weren't around the night I stayed ! .

Fastpacking is a brilliant sport. Simply put, it’s a sport where you strap a small amount of gear, food, and water on your back and go running and power hiking for days at a time. Where you sleep under the stars wherever your feet have landed you. Where you cover big miles and earn even-bigger views.

Glencoe, Lost Valley Winter Camp | Jan 2018, On the Adventure Trials Scotland

Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail), Glencoe. Coire Gabhail is hidden away from famous Glencoe behind a number of towering peaks. It was here that many members of Clan MacDonald took refuge in the immediate aftermath of the Glencoe massacre in 1692. Guarded on all sides by mountains, it is the perfect place to camp, with a flat high meadow, meandering stream and giant boulders to shelter behind.

Snowy Kintail Adventure, March 2018 | On the Adventure Trails - Scotland

Beinn Fhada is a mountain of great bulk. Whilst it may lack the graceful ridges elsewhere in Kintail, an ascent reveals its true character and complexity, with some magnificent northern corries.

Let loose on Lochnagar, Sept 2017 | On the Adventure Trails - Scotland

A route around Loch Muick, with a long run/walk taking in five Munros on the extensive White Mounth plateau. Lochnagar, Carn a' Choire Bhoidheach, Carn an t-Sagairt Mor, Cairn Bannoch and Broad Cairn. Approximately 20 miles of mostly great tracks and Land Rover track.
